With the acquisition of Askozia, the German provider of the Asterisk-based IP telephone system AskoziaPBX, UC specialist 3CX is further advancing its global expansion strategy. The purchase of this established company gives the buyer access to extensive expertise, innovative Linux-based technology, and an additional customer base of over 10,000 primarily mid-sized companies.
Founded in 2013 as a spin-off of Ostfalia University, Askozia has in recent years developed into a well-established company with impressive competencies in the field of VoIP technology development. To further strengthen its position in the German market, 3CX is taking over not only Askozia’s employees but also its innovative technology, which will be integrated into its own products going forward. In addition, with the acquisition of the Hannover site, 3CX gains the opportunity to strategically position itself in the home city of CeBIT.
