In July 2020, i-capital successfully completed the management buy-in of Dr. Markus Geyer (Dr. Geyer Holding GmbH). The project involved the acquisition of 100% of the shares in Krüger Dannheim GmbH & Co. KG (“KD”) and MAW GmbH (“MAW”) from Mr. Jens Dannheim.
i-capital supported Dr. Geyer throughout the entire process. Of particular note was the complete restructuring of the transaction in light of the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the two companies. Backed and supported by both parties, i-capital developed a pragmatic solution acceptable to the financing banks during these challenging times.
KD and MAW, based in Edemissen and Lehrte near Hanover, are active in contract manufacturing and fixture construction for mechanical engineering. Their customer base includes primarily automotive manufacturers (e.g., welding fixtures for production lines, especially in battery manufacturing). Both companies benefit from many years of experience and an advantageous location.
Jens Dannheim, former shareholder:
“I was looking for a suitable successor for our company and am very pleased that Mr. Dr. Geyer will continue and position it for the future. I will remain available in an advisory capacity.”
Dr. Markus Geyer:
“I don’t want to reinvent the wheel, but I am full of drive to broaden the company’s foundation and push ahead with digitalization. The i-capital team was an invaluable support over the past months, and they were instrumental in bringing this transaction across the finish line.”
The transaction was advised by i-capital and notarized by Schickerling von Bismarck.
